I am currently the staff liaison to the Diversity Committee at a 10,000+ member professional association that serves principal administrators and functional specialists within the legal environment. In this role I am an advocate for and facilitator of the Association's diversity goals.
Our Association's commitment to diversity has led to the development of an online diversity toolkit for law firm administrators, an online resource and reference center, and the development of a wide variety of diversity topics at our Association meetings. We have worked with professionals ranging from Stedman Graham to first nation Olympic Gold medalist Billy Mills. Learn more at

Before my present post, I was the Director of Racial, Ethnic, and Progressive Affairs at Michigan State University's Residence Halls Association and point of contact for MSU RHA's efforts to defend programs promoting equal opportunity in hiring, education, and contracts at the state level against the misnamed Michigan Civil Rights Initiative.
I am constantly seeking new ideas and working to expand my network of diversity professionals. Send me a message, or follow me on Twitter @vic_maurer

I work downtown near Union Station. I am actually from the Chicago Suburbs, I get home a lot on business. I support IL,IA, and MO so I do quite a bit of traveling. We do security for private and public companies.
What part of Chicago do you reside?
I do travel, I am not the recruiter (they report to me). I have an HR team in IL, IA and MO that consists of security officers, recruiters, HR Managers, HR specialist, HR Office Asst. and my personal assistant. So I travel a lot to teach, counsel, any thing having to do with HR for my area I am it. In St. Louis alone I have over 1700 employees.
Securitas bought out Pinkerton in the early 2000. We do security for like the CTA in Chicago, Metro Link in St. Louis, Apartment buildings, Banks. We are global and have offices in every major city and then some.
