Given the convoluted arguements the government is giving they may win. But in the eyes of the American people it will show once again that the federal government and the Obama administration are against the people.
what should happen is for the judge to declare the law as legal and enforceable. With a stern warning to the government to do its primary job (protecting the American people) as spelled out in the constitution. Every country that has condemned us has on their own books laws and actions against illegal aliens in their country. Why can't we do the same thing?

The Governor of Arizona, enforced a law against the illegal aliens in her State, to defuse additional criminal activities, she used the wrong approach to enforce the law. The Federal Government rejected how the law was enforced, refering it to as anti-illegal immigration law. What is the Federal Government doing to remedy, the illegal aliens population explosion, which contributed to an additional surge in criminal activities?

During President Ronald Regan's presidency undocumented illegal aliens, received legal status to live or work in the United States of America. These illegal aliens received legal status ranging from legal work permits, to alien green card (legal residency) and naturalization certificates (citizenships). Since then, there has been an illegal alien population explosion, accompanied with an additional surge in criminal activities, which continues to escalate out of control.

There is a very small percentage of illegal aliens who are willing to work, collect their monies and go there way in peace, in other words live and let live. The larger percentage commits crimes against citizens, legal residents and tourists. Involvement in drug related activities and other criminal activities. It is challenging for Law Enforcement to track them, because of their undocumented illegal status.
