The Superbowl has come and gone, but debate over the controversial ad rages on. By now, you must have heard the hoopla surrounding the fact that CBS decided not to air an ad for a gay dating Web site during the big game. This has got numerous gay rights advocates — and others — in an uproar, claiming that a similar ad with a heterosexual couple would likely have been approved.
Others say the folks behind the ad simply created and submitted it to CBS for publicity purposes, and probably didn’t even have the $2.5 million+ required for airtime during the Superbowl.
